My Cloud 1TB

Hello everybody,

I am trying to unbrick my WD MyCloud 1TB, some users here said that the mycloud Image for 2TB should work for the 1TB.
I have used the description as stated here in the Forum but it did not work.

Please could you help me to unbrick this device
thank you in advance

There are a number of unbricking discussions and methods one can find using the forum search feature, magnifying glass icon upper right. One will need to know their single bay My Cloud version.
First Gen uses v4.x firmware
Second Gen uses v2.x firmware

The unbrick method are not the same between the two single bay My Cloud versions.

People have had good luck using the Fox_Exe unbrick method. Use the link appropriate for one’s single bay My Cloud version.

Single Bay Gen 2 Unbrick: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_6OlQ_H0PxVQVhnLVJOdDZISUU/view

The relevant files needed to unbrick are typically found in the subfolder for each My Cloud version: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B_6OlQ_H0PxVRXF4aFpYS2dzMEE

Hi !
Thanks a lot for you Reply !

By the way, how to recognize if one has a 1st Gen or 2nd Gen device ?

I am trying one of the Solutions proposed.

I scceeded in reconstructing the partitions but still struggling to perform the second step which is to copy the firmare Image !

Thank you !

Now it was successful, I found out that it is a 1st Gen. MyCloud.
Then I used the described solution above, but I must say in my case the downloaded Firmware Image on the usb could not be recognized under the emergency Linus boot-System
I repeated the steps until the partitions have created properly then I connected MyCloud (in the enclosure) to my router, then I could Access the Interace oc the device then I made a Firmware update there.
