My book live access to setup

hi, just bought a my book live 2tb, plugged it in, follow the instructions and all works ok.

after that, i’ve rebooted the computer, and now i’m not able to access the setup page. whenever i enter the book’s address in the browser, i have only a blank page.

i tried with IE8 & IE9, both on windows 7 64 bits, from 2 different computers

can someone help me so i can finish the setup?

edit: i tried again and now i have this error: HTTP 500 Internal Server Error.

what can i do to fix this?

You can try resetting the MBL by holding its reset for 4 seconds.  If the issue is not fixed you may take it back or contact WD for a replacement:  http://support.wdc.com/contact/index.asp?wdc_lang=en

If powering the unit on/off and pressing the reset do not work, take it back and get another. It sounds like a glitch in the firmware.

The Setup mode is hosted by a unique web server built into the drive. The error message you have would indicate that the server is having problems and that is preventing you from accessing the setup.

i’ve returned the unit, exchanged for a new one, and all is working now.
