Music does not show up in Media player

Hello  I’m hoping someone can help me.

I’ve install my new 3 TB mycloud on my network and it seems to work fine.  I transfered about 2500 music tracks over to the shared directory along with 10,000 + pictures.  my problem is that when I go and try to play the music on my PC using Windows media player only a fraction of the music shows up that I transfered over there.  but if I just use windows file explorer to open it up alll the files seem to be there.

Also if try and get to the music from my IPAD (using the WD app) the music seems to be there but all messed up, several enterys for one album and music won’t play for some tracks just shows a big “?” when I go to play it.

Now I have the most up to date firmware

I have rescaned the DNLA database.

I have rebuilt the DNLA database

I have rebooted the device

and restarted the Townky server.

Does anyone have any idea what’s going on.

I’m using windows 7 with it’s latest windows media player.

Thanks in adavnce

Paul

Given the actions you have already taken, I am stumped. Maybe it is just a matter of time until the scanning and indexing has caught up. Give it another 24h…
