MAC | G Drive mobile SSD 2TB not working

Hello,

I just bought a new G Drive mobile SSD 2TB, connected it to my mac and he don’t read it. my mac is with thunderbolt 3 connect.

Bought the drive from Apple in China.

Hope you can help.

Does the unit power on when it is attached? Have you checked the Disk Utility to see if it shows there? Its possible you have a Mac that has USB-C like the MacBook from a few years ago. The newest G-DRIVE mobile SSD units are TB3 required and won’t work over USB-C only ports. Also your OS will need to be 10.12 or newer.

You can call in for support 888.426.5214 US toll-free but if your computer specs are correct then it is possible the device could be faulty and needs to be replaced.
