LED blinking in RED

My Cloud 3TB WDBCTL0030HWT-10, when conect LED blink Blue, then blinking in RED.
please, your help.

If you haven’t done so already, use the forum search feature (magnifying glass icon top right) and search for blinking red LED. Lots of past discussions about what others have done to try and deal with it. If one reads the v2.x OS3 User Manual for the single bay My Cloud they’ll see it indicates the following:

Attention
Red Blinking The following circumstances trigger this state:
• Disk thermal warning threshold exceeded (under or over temp)
• Ethernet cable not connected

Fault/action required
Red Blinking The following faults trigger this state:
• Disk SMART failure
• Data volume does not exist
• System volume does not exist
• System thermal shutdown (75 C)

And if one hasn’t already done so, see the Knowledge Base link at the top of the page and search for My Cloud red LED, they’ll get the following WD Support article.

Solid and Blinking Red Power and Drive LED Status on a My Cloud

I need some help because i follewed Fox’s tutorial and used both the USB method and the alternative method (i’m confident its a gen 2) and it just keeps blinking red, really frustrated, if you could help that would be awesome (mine is a 4TB and i have reformatted it but have not initiated a RAID1 because it didn’t specify to)

Make sure you have a second gen single bay My Cloud. Check the P/N number on the bottom of the My Cloud. It should end with “-10”.

Make sure to follow the Fox_exe’s directions exactly. When performing the steps to partition and format the drive, do not change any of the values.

Can you reach the My Cloud Dashboard? If so perform a Restore. Or try performing a 40 second pin reset. Sometimes that will fix a front red LED when using Fox_exe’s directions.

Steps to Pin Reset and System Only Restore a Multi-Bay My Cloud OS 3

Often one has to perform the steps in the Fox_exe directions more than once before it works properly. Usually because one left out a step or command in previous tries.

Hello Bennor
I realised when it says Red-Yellow it meant RED/YELLOW not red and yellow, it actually had a firmware restore page which didn’t work so i followed another post to flash a premade image directly to its partitions and it now works
Thanks for your reply
(p.s i saw it when you posted it but my account was flagged for some reason)
