Just bought Live Plus...should I update firmware?

I’m still on 1.04.18_B .  Everytime I fire up I see the “update firmware” icon from the start.  Kinda tempted, but thoroughly frightened based on all the **bleep** I’m reading. Should I hold off? Is there another update around the corner, from what anyone’s gathered?

As is, 1.04.18_B has been working flawlessly for me for the last couple weeks. I’ve had to strip compression off of MAYBE 2 files, but that’s always to be expected. Playback has been great!. 

Thoughts/suggestions?

The header compression was fixed in version 1.03.49, so you shouldn’t be having that issue.

Well, somehow I have had that problem. And using mkvmerge fixed it and made the file playback, whereas it previously would not.

Anybody have any input on the original question?

Well, if you don’t have any issues, and don’t want any of the new features and services the later firmware adds, then there’s no reason to upgrade.  :)

I have a Live Plus, and have avoided installing the current firmware, 1.06.16_B due to many bug reports.

I still use the previous version, 1.05.04_B with no problems since it was released, and I recommend you upgrade to that level firmware.
