hi,
i got a wd my-cloud-4tb (v04.01.00-408) and connected a wd 2tb usb hdd.
on the usb drive is my itunes music.
i have activated dlna & itunes server in dashboard settings.
dlna works on my devices (iphone, ipad, philips tv).
on mac 10.10 i have installed the latest itunes (12.0.1.26)
itunes find the wd-my-cloud but could not display anything.
itunes show after 1minute the local music again.
so something goes wrong.
how can i check if itunes-server running correctly on my-cloud ?
are there any log files or where can i find the library files via ssh for the itunes-server ?
thx
I may be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that iTunes Server ONLY uses the
/Public/Shared Music
folder on the internal drive – not any USB devices.

no.
if i “rebuild” the itunes database in the dashboard i can connect with itunes on my macbook to the my-cloud-itunes-server.
i can see tracks and albums but i cant see any covers (covers are integrated in the files by “tune instructor”.
but sometime later i cant connect to wd and be redirected to local.
i think something goes wrong with the rebuild.
therefore i want to know if there are any log fles where i can see the reason.

i have moved all mp3 to public/shared music directory.
after 2 days of transfer and file scanning inside the mycloud,
same problem like on usb-hdd. (the usb hdd is not connected to my cloud.)
itunes try to connect and after while itunes switch back to local library.
something goes wrong but i dont know what to do.
anybody know what to do or where i can search for solutions ?
