Is it possible to map a drive letter for accessing a remote cloud drive?

I have been able to access my Cloud drive remotely from my work computer. Is it possible to map a drive letter to my Cloud drive so I can use it without having to click on the URL that i used to log on to drive?

What is the best way to access to a cloud drive remotely? When I am at home, I am able to map a drive letter and it is very easy to access my Cloud drive on my home network. Can I do something similar when I am using it remotely?

Yes, you can map a remote share. The file protocol used is different from the one used locally, but the experience is about the same, except that some apps might behave differently.

To map a remote share, access the wd2go.com website, open your device, let the java app show your shares, then click on connect.

As far as I know, u cannot map drive remotely. For remote access, maybe u can try WD My Cloud Desktop

I have been able to use the method above using the wd2go but it auto sets the drive letter, is there anyway to change or may my own drive letter?  I have a database where the frontend resides on my machine (Access) and the Backend (tables and queries) reside on the WDMYCLOUD.  I am looking for a fix or work around.

I would suggest to test it before you worry about a stable drive letter. I can’t imagine you woud be satisfied accessing a database on a NAS disk, especially remote.

not sure if it still works but there was an assign command in DOS to make a drive appear as another which may help
