MyCloud Home is a very different beast, not an upgrade on the MyCloud family. You might check out some of the early threads on the MyCloud Home forum, where its shortcomings were identified. e.g.

Not an official response in any way (all opinions below are my own), but from my limited experience with the drive I can tell you that it is a radically different product. Difference between mycloud and mycloud home?
