Hello, I need help. yesterday I bought this HDD Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 7200rpm.

I have an motherboard on SATA-2 and this hard drive is on SATA3, the HDD is visible in bios, in the hardware list  ( My computer-Properties - Hardware ) but it is missing from my computer.

The fact is, this SATA3 HDD is visible in my computer ONLY before I install the motherboard drivers, after installing the motherboard driivers, the hard drive is gone. I use Windows XP.

PLEASE, is it a chance to have my SATA3 hdd and with the motherboards drivers installed all together???

Do you know how it is spending money on something you can`t use???

  • Are you able to see your drive in your computer BIOS?

  • Have you connect your drive to another computer to verify drive integrity?
