I don't understand why I can't access my own myCloud Home during this outage

I still don’t get it. I never fully understood this myCloud Home product from day 1. I just don’t understand why I can’t access the myCloud I have attached to own personal router. I can understand not being able to access it from an iPhone or Web, but can someone please explain why I can’t access it from any of my home devices within my own network? This makes absolutely no sense. I really think WD needs to go out of business because of this. I have never experience this type of impact from a technical product in my entire life. I’m already researching other products. I am so disappointed I made this purchase. I thought connecting to the router so that everyone could access was a slick idea. But I should have just gone with a simple external hard drive, attach it to one of my computers, share it, and be done with all this complication. It’s called myCloud Home not myCloud for geeks and rocket scientists. #HUNKAJUNK

Pays to do research before buying anything.

step 2 of your instructions:

" Click Sign In to Sign In using your Western Digital Account."

So how is that possible with the servers down? His question is legit.

Stick to physical hard drives and make back up copies. I am going to use my main PC for all data, plug in back up as secondary and Google drive as third option. It’s a pain in the ass but it’s better than this ■■■■.

Exactly my point

yeah that is surely true, and will be done from this point onward, but all the files in there is what worries me, WD could at least give a guarantee by now that no files been lost and that there WILL be a solution even if it takes a month, I just want to make sure the files aren’t lost. I am also getting tired of this false advertisement and referencing to how safe things are *like in this commercial Overclouded--WD Commercial - YouTube , and then realizing, it is not safe at all !!!
