How do I set up a secondary WD My cloud?

Hi,

I’ve just purchased a second WDmycloud so that it can act as a safepoint for my files on the first one. They are both on the same network…one in the office, one elsewhere in the building.

Are there any instructions on how to do this!?

Just change the name of one of them from the default ‘WDMyCloud’.

Dashboard/Settings/General/Device Profile/Device Name

Maybe change the name of the first one, then install and set up the second, give it a name. Change back the name of the first one it you want to.

Don’t forget that all setup can be done from the Dashboard; you don’t need to use the automated setup software.
