HELP! My passport is no longer recognized on either of my Macs,

it also does not show up on disk utilities. I believe the USB cord is not working. This is an older one and uses a unique cord

If the drive is under warranty, you can always contact WD for a new cable. I’ve done that before and they are great.

If it is no longer under warranty, you can try finding a new cord at a local tech store (depending on where you live; in the USA, places like Wal-Mart, Target, or Best Buy carry them). Just bring the cord in if you need help. Or, find one online if you can get it shipped for cheap; I’ve picked up plenty of spare cables on ebay or Amazon that way.
