This is the second time it happens. I was using a WD My Passport Ultra 1Tb as a backup for photos and videos. It worked on my laptop for three days, then it just stopped showing up. I tried with disk Utilities, but it also doesn’t show up. The light is on, the disk is vibrating as if it was working. The unit is new, so it can’t be a problem with the cable. i tried it in another computer and worked.
I plugged it to a mini mac and was working fine for three days, but today it stopped showing. The same situation: light on, vibration, but it is not recognized by the computer.
The only thing that happend is that I accidentally disconnected it yesterday without ejecting. That happened only once.
