Hi everyone, gosh, I really want to love this NAS. Everything about it seems so good. But for the life of me, I can’t believe how poor the instructions, and the many complications are. And how there is basically no tech support.

Please, if anyone knows a possible solution to this problem, I would be so grateful.
I am on Mac, latest OS, and my EX2ultra is almost always offline from my desktop. I have no way of reconnecting. Then sometimes it miraculously comes back. Without reason. However, from my iPhone, and the mycloud app, I am always able to access.
This is supposed to be a professional back solution for my media studio. But it looks like it is not reliable.
Would love to here thoughts from people more experienced.

Hi,

If you are facing intermittent connection while accessing the WD EX2 Ultra from local network, you may again map the NAS with AFP protocol instead of SMB. You could follow the instructions given in the link and replace smb with afp while entering the NAS address:
