MyCloud Desktop and iPhone Application Connectivity

Hey everyone,

Been having some connectivity issues with my EX2 (8TB). I have cloud services, media service, and remote dashboard all enabled on my NAS. However, lately I have been running into an issue where neither the iOS MyCloud app or MyCloud desktop applicaiton can connect to the server. When this connection issues does occur I am still able to log on to the dashboard from outside my home network.

In order for me to get connectivity to my devices from outside the network (for viewing files) I have to reboot the device. After a reboot I am able to connect via the desktop and mobile applications again. Now if this happened once a month or so I wouldn’t find it annoying but this happens every 2 or 3 days. 

Is there a setting that I have to select or change to get a consistent connection? Mind you, when this happens I am still able to access the dashboard via a browser but not connect through the applicaitons to download/upload files.

Hi there and welcome to the WD community.

Try to see if by disabling remote access re booting the unit and then re enabling it can make the issue go away permanently, i have tried this when i get errors connecting with the mobile app and it works.
