Safe Mode

Your device firmware appears to be corrupted and your device is currently running in Safe Mode.

Please download the latest firmware from the WD Support website at http:\www.support.wdc.com and upload the firmware file below:

Firmware Version: 1.01.007

From where do I download the FIRMWARE
Or can I upload FIRMWARE new version 2 or higher

Hi,

Please be informed that the firmware cannot be manually updated and will be automatically delivered to the internet connected My Cloud Home. The My Cloud Home firmware will be updated on your device shortly. Please wait for the Over The Air update to occur. Meanwhile:

  • Do not reboot, reset, or power off
  • Do not pin reset or “System Erase”
  • Do not demote the “Device Owner”
  • Please wait for the software (firmware) upgrade to complete

Are you using My Cloud or My Cloud Home?

did you ever get the firmware ? i have the same issue and tried the latest Firmware version but it fails to load.

the firmware can be found by simply searching Fox_EXE repository, selecting your generation or model (first gens do not have -10 at the end of the P/N and gen 2s do) and you will get a bin for it in one of the folders, just search around for “Firmware”
