The longer I have this device I seem to be coming across more issues quicker than I can find solutions to them. Latest mild annoyance is that the EX2 no longer shows up as part of my network within windows explorer. Got three windows devices that all use to be able to see the EX2 and can still see each other fine - but the EX2 is now not registering on any of them. However, if I type \myex2sname I am still view my shares (though despite saving credentials have to re-enter them again after rebooting any of the windows devices) and access files like normal. Any issues what might be causing this issue and what I can do to get the ex2 showing back on the network again?
I am not looking to map the ex2 as a drive on my network. Rather when I first got the ex2 it would appear in the navigation column on the left side of file explorer in Windows under “Network” alongside my other devices - even my router shows up in it. From that I could single click to access all the shares on the ex2. However, for whatever reason its decided to no longer show up in the list on any of my PCs.
For example, see step 6 in those instructions “Search for, and expand, the desired network drive by clicking on the small arrow to the left of its name. Then, select the desired Share of that network drive and click OK.” I cannot do that since the ex2 doesn’t show up in the list of options so I can’t expand it to select a particular folder to map as a drive.
As far as any of my windows devices are concerned the ex2 doesn’t exist unless I specifically type \myex2name or \myex2IP as which point I have to re-enter my credentials even if I previously ticked the box to save them.
