Elements drive lock SW, is there one?

Hi all.

I have a 4TB Elements drive, 3TB My Passport Ultra, 4TB My Passport.

I have been to the WD SW downloads page & I don’t see any drive lock/unlock SW for Elements drives.

My question is there a drive locker SW for Elements drives?

WD Elements drives do not come with built-in hardware encryption or WD Security software like My Passport drives. That’s why you don’t see any drive lock/unlock software for your Elements drive on the WD downloads page.

If you need password protection, you can use third-party encryption software like BitLocker (Windows) or FileVault (Mac) to secure your drive. Keep in mind that once encrypted, the drive will only be accessible on systems that support the chosen encryption method.
