I called WD Tech Support to ask them how to password protect my Elements external drive
They told me it cannot be done
Is this for real???
I have two of them & I want them secured but according to WD Tech Support this is impossible

Elements is a simple plug and play drive it does not have password or encryption.

it does not come with software for that
you can use the windows security option or another security application
Truecrypt should work for you
