So, if I’ve lost the admin password for the unit, is there the possibility of a wipe and rebuild. Or, am I toast?

That’'s what the reset button on the back of the DL4100 is for, Depress it for about 4 seconds.

What happens is that the DL4100 will reboot and get it’s IP from the router and the admin password will be cleared. Full instructions are in the user guide.
