Disk Replacement for MyCloud EX2 Ultra

I have a MyCloud EX2 Ultra with 2 4TB HD. One of them is occasionally showing a red status light.

Assuming I need to replace the disk sooner rather than later, I checked the support page “Steps to Replace Internal Drives in a 2 and 4 Bay My Cloud” and it stated that " The drive must be replaced with the same model and capacity". How literal do I have to treat “same model”?

According to the drive’s status page, the current drive model is WD40EFRX-68N32N0, which apparently is no longer for sale. Can I buy a similar drive (like WD40EFPX) or am I completely out of luck?

To anyone looking for an answer, no, you don’t need to treat “same model” literally.

I’m able to replace the original HDD with a WD Red SSD. The system boots up, recognizes the new disk, and RAID is rebuilding.
