My Cloud EX2 Ultra hard drive replacement

I have a My Cloud EX2 Ultra with two 2TB hard drives. I want to replace the HD’s with higher capacity ones. How do I do this without losing any data?
Do I need to back up the current drives, Install the new ones and then reinstall the files on the new drives?
