I’m not even sure what the problem could be but any time i plug my wd my passport essential se 1tb usb 3.0 into any of the usb ports on my desktop computer i get the error message device driver software was not surccessfully installed and i’m not sure what to do.
if this helps any i did follow everything on this link to see if it would fix my problem but it never did.
I’m having this same problem today! Very frustrating. Searched all over the internet and can’t seem to find a proper driver. Windows auto driver search doesn’t help. Running Windows 8.1 64 bit. My Passport 750 GB (WDBABM7500ABK).
