Deleting files does not free space in user folder (home folder)

When copying files to mycloud home 4 tb (into user folder, mounted on windows 11 via WD Discovery desktop app) received disk full error!

After that, deleted about 20 GB of files but disk is still full - 0 bytes free!

Web app in settings menu shows the same - 0 bytes free

Public folder, on the other side, shows 20 GB of free space, so there is free space on disk but user (home) folder does not recognize it. For sure, disk full error was tirgger of this problem so question is - how to fix this without reformatting everything

Restarted disk, restarted windows - did not help.

can you delete something?

Yeah also when i use public folder i have different free space (and also different on web), i think it is due to kddf system that takes more space than ntfs and the wd utility takes more space than the web system

yes, i can delete files. but this does not free disk space. User folder is still “0 bytes free”; but Public folder shows more free space…

It is quite strange, support may help you

But consider doing a backup of all your data, because seems that you are going to need to reset it
