De registering a WD product

Hi,
After some time of owning a WD My Cloud and been stored waiting for an intended use, I have decided to to sell the product. It has never been used but I did register it previously. Can the product be de registered from me so that the new owner can re register it under their details?

Product serial number - WCC4M5DZXN4F

Thanks in advance

Serial number is great but, searches on WD Support, Google and Bing bring up nothing. Which product is it. http://learn.mycloud.com/ or

For a single bay My Cloud WDMyCloudImage this should do it.

If you are talking about the product registration for warranty/service purposes, you may have to contact WD directly as this is mostly a user to user support site.

One may also want to see the Warranty Policy to see if second owner devices are eligible to continue receiving warranty support. Often with electronic devices the warrenty will only cover the initial owner who registered the device. If the device is sold or given to a second or additional person the product warranty is void and or not honored by the manufacturer.

Thanks for the replies. The product is a standard 2TB My Cloud. The new owner of the product has confirmed that deregistration is not necessarily an issue and they can resolve it their end if necessary. I have also carried out the 40 second reset option previously before selling, but as the product was never used there shouldnt be a problem. Any further issues i’ll let you all know
