I bought a new EX2 Ultra since the EX2 is going out of support. I tried to copy the files to the new raid via FTP from EX2 to Ultra. This created a problem in which it changed the owner to unix/root. I have resolved changing the owner to the proper share but now I still do not have a convenient method of copying the files to the new Ultra besides using drag and drop. Can somebody please help me? I was hoping that WD would have a “how to migrate to new device” but I cant find it. TIA.

If both My Cloud devices are on the same local network one can use SSH to issue commands to a My Cloud to copy data from one My Cloud to another. One can use the forum search feature, magnifying glass icon upper right, to learn more about various SSH commands, such as Rsync, that can be used for copying files from one My Cloud to another.
