I want to share a file and or a folder on EX4. I can log into the server via a web browser using my MyCloud account, no problem.
From there I can browse all folders, etc… I can open files, play videos, look at pictures.
If I want to share a file with someone, I right click the file and select “share” and then no matter which option I choose, “get a link” or type in the email address and click share, I get the following error;
Internal Server error, Retry your last operation. If the error persists, contact WD support for assistance. (200007)
I didn’t want to create a bunch of users just to look at a couple of files. I want to be able to enter email addresses directly or get an link and email it to that bunch of users.
Hello, The My Cloud application does not allow you select single file share, with “get a link option”, or typing in email addresses to share the file with. This is what I’m attempting to do. (pasted from http://www.mycloud.com/learn/?id=MyCloudEX4#access-mcdotcom)
To access files from any compatible web browser:
1.Go to www.mycloud.com
2.Log in with a MyCloud.com account credentials
To share files from any compatible web browser:
1.Right click the item you would like to share and select the ‘Share’ option
a.Select ‘Send a link’ if you would like to create and share an email with a link that can be forwarded and shared
b.Select ‘Send a private link’ if you would like to create and share an email that requires a MyCloud.com account. This provides more control over access to the files
a.You can also select to allow the user to edit the file or not
