Using Finder on my iMac (Yosemite 10.10.5) I cannot connect to the My Cloud. I can see My Cloud in Finder but connection fails. I can see and operate My Cloud using the My Cloud application. I need the address of the My Cloud to enable connection by a Sonos device and I assume that the address can be found in Finder.
Hello, if you access the dashboard of the My Cloud under the network setting you will see the IP address of the drive. Have you tried to manually connect the drive by using the “connect to server” feature on your computer?
Thank you very much for your help. I now have the My Cloud connected to both the Mac and Sonos. I am still unable to connect to the My Cloud via Finder but I can see it by going to Finder - Go - Network. The connection does not appear to be stable.
You may want to try to set a static IP address and maybe that can help.
Thanks for your suggestion. Would you please explain how to setup a static IP address. It’s not something that I am familiar with.
