Compatibility WD TV Play with My Cloud

Hello to all WD Users,

  I’m approaching to buy a new My Cloud 3TB and I’m thinking to buy also a My TV in order to share video directly to my TV.

Anyone have previous experience ? I suppose all it’s works fine (both of them support DLNA) , but before to buy I prefer your opinion.

It works ok but it is has limitations on the type of files you can stream. The play does not do mpeg2 so you cannot play DVD rips etc. Maybe better to get a WD live streaming player which can also connect via network shares and do mpeg2.
