Change of email address for notification

Hi all

How do I change my email address for WD update notifications ?

Kim

@Fenshome
What type of updates are you expecting? The first generation WDMYCLOUD with OS3 no longer gets any updates. What device do you own?

It’s a myCloud PR 2100

@Fenshome
Check the information provided in this link.
My Cloud OS3 End of Service | Western Digital

Hi

I think you misunderstand the question. Originally when I registered my myCloud PR 2100, it was with a email address which I no longer use and I wish to change it with Western Digital as they are sending me notifications after my myCloud PR 2100 is automatically updated to this old address. I can’t see where to update my details on their site to the new email address.

Assist in this matter would be appreciated.

Kim

If you are asking how to change the product registration email, try contacting WD themselves and see if they can change the address on their end. This subforum is mostly user to user support and rarely monitored by WD staff other than the staff bot telling people to contact WD Support directly.

Also note that there is a separate subforum for the PR2100 where users more familiar with that device may be able to assist. This subforum (OS3 My Cloud) discusses a different WD device, the discontinued/end of support single bay/single drive OS3 v4.x firmware My Cloud.

@Fenshome
Do you have OS5 or OS3? I must guess that it is OS5 if you are working with your device online.

This is the device I own, and it has OS3. Because it is no longer supported or updated by WD it is used only on my home network.

For my WDMYCLOUD that uses OS5 I can go to my Dashboard and in Settings change/add a new address if needed. See example images below.

Thanks Cat0w. I’ll see if this fixes my issue, but will have to wait till the update occurs.

This image is from my OS5, second generation WDMYCLOUD yesterday. I unplugged and plugged my device back in for it to reboot. I hadn’t done a reboot that way for a while.

msn dot com notice.

This image is from my rr dot com account for the recent update.

OK that looks to be the fix.

With thanks.
