Can't use cloud access on WD mycloud v03.01.04-139

I recently got WD mycloud v03.01.04-139 device. it was used for a while but I managed to make a quick factory restore. but in the setup process, I got errors when I tried to signup with email and
everything seems to work fine except for accessing the cloud access. whenever I try to follow the setup guide in cloud access and sign up with my email address it gives me this error:

" The web access account you requested for could not be created. Ensure that you do not have any network connectivity issues and try again. (250006) "

In other words i am unable to access WD mycloud from any other device. I can use it only through WD mycloud app or website. please help

OS3 v3.x and v4.x devices have reach end of support. The WD OS3 mobile apps and the MyCloud.com web portal will no longer access OS3 My Cloud devices. For more on this end of support for OS3 My Cloud devices see the following from WD:

My Cloud OS3 End of Service

Customers with legacy, My Cloud OS 3-compatible devices

On April 15, 2022, support ended for prior generations of My Cloud OS, including My Cloud OS 3. There are critical security updates that are only available for My Cloud OS 5-compatible devices. If your device isn’t compatible with My Cloud OS 5, you can only access it locally. As of April 15, 2022, your device no longer receives remote access, security updates, or technical support. To help protect your content, we recommend that you immediately back up your device, disable remote access, disconnect it from the internet, and then protect it with a strong, unique password.

Q: Will my device stop working if I can’t upgrade to My Cloud OS 5? Will I lose access to my data?
A: After the services are shut down, you can only access the device on a local network. Access through the My Cloud OS 3 mobile app or web app won’t work. Email notifications won’t be delivered. Devices that had auto-update enabled received a final firmware update that disabled remote access and outbound traffic to cloud services. Now, support has ended and you have to use your local network to access your device.

Note that OS3 v3.x firmware is very out of date. You can upgrade from v3.x firmware to the v4.x firmware to obtain the latest updates for the OS3 firmware before WD officially ended support for all OS3 firmware last April. See the Support link at the top of the page for your device were you can download the last firmware (04.06.00-111 (4/15/2022)) for the first generation single bay My Cloud and manually update your My Cloud. Or one can try using the Update Now button on the My Cloud Dashboard > Settings > Firmware > Update Now.

While you cannot use WD methods of remote access one can use their own methods (VPN, insecure FTP, etc.) to access their My Cloud from a remote location. Local network access is not impacted by WD’s end of support and one’s My Cloud will still be accessable on their local network. Mobile devices can use a file manager app to access the My Cloud provided that mobile device is connected to the same local network as the My Cloud.
