Cant set up my NEW Cloud Home Device

Hi,
I purchased recently a Cloud Home server but I am unable to set it up.
I connected it to the router and I can see that the router assigned it an IP address, but the device is stuck in the slow breathing mode and I cant connect to it.
I have gone through the entire youtube playlist to troubleshoot it but no luck. Any pointers on how to keep troubleshooting?
Thanks!

Have you looked at the User Manual?
WD Documentation (wdc.com)

How to Setup and Configure a My Cloud Home Device (wd.com)

Yes, read the manual, looked your site to troubleshoot and watched every troubleshoot video here:

I am obviously missing something, just cant figure out what.

If the light is slow breathing, it is an internet problem right? Do I need any ports open and in that case which ones? The ports mentioned on one of the videos above do not match ports mentioned elsewhere so not sure what does are.

Any firewall settings I need to check?

The manual asks the owner to enable UPnP on the router and that is usually the first thing to do to enable internet access for the My Cloud Home.

Network Router UPnP and IP Address Check

Universal Plug and Play ( UPnP ) allow computers, Internet gateways, Wi-Fi access points, mobile devices and My Cloud Home to find each otheron the network.

Western Digital Support cannot help with third-party software or hardware.
Consult the user manual or contact the router maker to find out if UPnP is supported and ion how to enable it.

My Cloud Home UPnP port assignments are:

  • Internal SSL Port: 443
  • Proxy Server SSL Port: 8443
  • External Port Range: any available port between 40000-49999

You should read the Knowledge base for the latest addition to the knowledge supporting the MCH.
