Under SETTINGS all I find is
1–System
2–Audio/Video
3–Video
4–Music
and
5–Photos
I don’t see ANY kind of other ICON to UPDATE using the 3 Files I extraxted.

The firmware should be automatically recognized and a new icon should pop up to update firmware.
If it does not, you probably have downloaded the wrong firmware.
Maybe I have a GEN ( 1 ) I just notice the DOWNLOAD is for GEN ( 2 ) and I dont see any GEN ( 2 ) Marked on my Wd tv Hd Media Player ver 1.0.3.01 ty for the reply
the firmware is for the WDTV Live and WDTV Live Plus

Yeah, you’re in the wrong forum. You probably have a WDTV HD Gen1 or Gen2.
You’ll need to check the MODEL# of your player to determine which generation it is, and select the appropriate firmware.
