Can't connect to dashboard

I just bought the WD Passwort wireless, but i cannot connect to the dashboard via Wifi.

I tried with several URLs:

http://192.168.60.1/

http://192.168.60.1/UI/

http://mypassport/UI/

http://mypassport/

The result is always the same: It shows a basic interface and “Starting”. But the dashboard never shows up… See also screenshot below.

When I reload I can see a couple of buttons on top of the page for less than a second, but then the same page shows up again…

I can how ever connect to the data via windows explorer and I can connect to twonky server. But I wan’t to access the dashboard…

I use Windows 8.0 and tried with the newest versions of Firefox, Chrome and IE.

Given that it gets that far, but doesn’t finish loading, it can’t be a firewall, lack of connectivity, or anything like that.

So I would say it is broken. The Dashboard files must have been corrupted somehow. Have you upgraded to the latest firmware? If not, do that and see if the problem goes away. You don’t say if you can connect using the My Cloud App. If you can you can use that App to update the firmware. If not, use the SD card method to update. If on the latest firmware, do a Manual Reset of the MPW. That should reload all the software and set it back to your starting position. See page 47 of the User Manual. Take note:

MAKE SURE THE MPW IS TURNED ON BEFORE STARTING THE RESET.

If that doesn’t work, download the latest firmware again, so you have a known clean copy, and reload that firmware, using the SD card method.

If none of the above work, it is time to call WD Support I think.
