When I try to access my cloud from the MyCloud Dashboard or windows explorer (via mapped drives), it gives me a time out error message. The Dashboard error message says, “The server at 192.168.1.102 is taking too long to respond.” I can get to the drive on both my iphone and the MyCloud application though. So, I know the drive is working, but I can’t seem to access it like I could before. Everything worked fine last week. I was out a few days early this week and came back to the issue. I haven’t done any upgrade or anything so I’m not sure what’s going on. Any ideas?
What type of device are you trying to access it from? You say you can get to it on your iPhone and My Cloud app. so what other device are you talking about?
I can’t get it to it on my laptop or desktop using windows explorer or My Cloud Dashboard. Both worked fine for me previously.
sounds like the ip has changed. try WDMyCloud.local or check your router for the new ip…

Thanks. It was the IP that changed. Guess i need to make it static going forward.

Or leave it dynamic and reserve the ip in your router.
