Glad to know it is working for some! I have managed to enable local storage and all went well until step 11. Windows file explorer network error “Windows cannot access \MYCLOUD-*****”. I dont get a chance to enter a username or password.
Using my tablet, I gained access and entered my username and password successfully. However, I am unable to open any of the 3 folders presented, none of which are my original ones!!!
I have the same problem. I try to connect via local and I can’t because this is giving this same error. Even though they say you can access it locally, in the end we are not succeeding.
The same here. I can’t login to the app and access my files. Also, the same message here with the last 6 digits of S/N: {“key”:“notFound”,“message”:“Not Found”}.
No problem accessing NAS boxes locally (EX2 Ultra) on Winn 11 pro. Both accessed as drives by using ‘map network drive’ feature of Win 11. MacOS users are on their own.
I’ve been trying to locally access my, my cloud home, through the steps provided by WD, but every time after entering the identification code and continue, the following page is a picture of an exclamation mark and the tab says “Oops! Something went Wrong” and can not proceed to toggle the local access prompt. I have used the main user’s details and one of the secondary user’s details to attempt access but the same happens with both.
Estoy igual que vosotros, pero llevo más de una semana sin poder acceder a mis datos, MyCloud está deshabilitado y no puedo entrar ni desde ordenador ni desde los moviles.
hello,
can someone help me? the Disk Light blinks slowly, I was able to activate the local mode, but I can’t access it, any suggestions?
sorry in advance my poor english
More often than not, this is an authentication error in the browser caused by a number of different factors, including server outage which is not in play at this time.
Check for firewall, router, browser, password, OS settings that can prevent server authentication.
Often, changing to a different browser that is heavily tracked with telemetry enabled, such as Chrome or Edge will often allow easier authentication. Disable any browser extensions that may block tracking temporarily.
Yes, they really want to track you to make sure you can be authenticated.
Local access cannot be enabled without first contacting WD authentication server. If the WD server is down or any number of authentication steps failed through the browser, firewall or router or network error, then the initial local access enablement will fail.
My Cloud Home dashboard is only used to enable local access or to reset local access through a process called Clear Device Settings.
