Hello,
First of all let me apologize in case this has been brought up before and answered somewhere on this community. I tried searching for a discussion on this didn’t find any.
I am setting up a network storage device for a small office using this device. I have done all configurations and everything checks out. I have all the port forwarding in place on my router. The status on the “Cloud access” tab showed connected initially and I was able to access my files on my mobile on a different network but suddenly it changed and now says “Port forwarding failed to connect…”
Can anyone kindly assist with what I am doing wrong?
If remote access is configured as Auto then one needs one needs to ensure their broadband router supports and has UPnP enabled. Otherwise one can set remote access to manual and configure port forwarding within the broadband router to forward the two ports to the My Cloud.
Also it helps to configure the My Cloud for a static IP address either within the broadband router or within the My Cloud.
Thank you for your response and suggestion.
I have configured a static IP from my network on the router and have excluded this IP from the DHCP list, I have forwarded the required ports on the router to its exit interface (the IP on this interface).
Still no luck. Am I missing a something?
