Getting this error tryign to access My cloud remotely. Clould works on local netowrk fine. I did reboot but still no remote access. WD do something? It worked fine couple days ago.
Hi slevy951, we will look into this, can you share more information on how you have your router is setup - port forwarding, upnp, type of router, drive firmware version, etc.?
Netgear Router R6200v2. No port forwarding. Upnp is turned on, I think. Firmware is latest as Cloud says it’s up to date.
im getting the same error. i notice that the WD ports are not showing up in my upnp section of the router. I do however also have port forwarding setup.
WD cloud dashabord reports “port forwarding connection established” however.
i have tried rebooting my router and the wd drive.
EDIT: i turned remote access off and then on in the wd dashboard and now ports have shown up under upnp and remote access is working…
Just did a power clear on my unit and that seems to have fixed the issue. This isn’t first time this has happened and it seems to want to be powered off/on every few months.
Any comment from WD here?

Login to the WD Dashboard

Go to Settings Tab
3.Select General in the left pane and check if Remore access under Cloud is wokring or not.

I had an error here, I switched that OFF and Turned that ON
