I did a successful backup with the Time Machine to the My Cloud Mirror. It states that “other” has been backup and it looks like all of my stuff could have been backup considering it matches closely to how many gigs have been used but it states ZERO music, photos, movies. Are my music and photos backup in “Other” or are they not backup? And if not, do you have to copy, drag your photos, music manually and why does it appear that “other” may have the music and photos but houses all of them in “other” instead of photos, music, etc.? Since you said that you used Time Machine, have you tried checking with apple support to see if their software has any limitations backing up music, photos and movies over the network.
Sounds, like the software didn’t identify all the files properly and it included everything one one category.
I have a question regarding this out there to the Apple community and waiting for a response. In the meantime, how would I check the WD my cloud mirror to see what is actually backed up? There should be a way to see what is backed up? Sorry new to this. All my other backups are very easy. There is a folder where you could see everything. Maybe the photos and videos are in the “other” category because it appeared to download all the gigabytes.
