Back up appears disabled on WD Smart Ware not pro

Hi I have been using WD smartware version 2.4.12 to regularly back up on a external My Passport drive using Windows 10. THis month, however, the back up, feature was disabled on the software. It apparently wants me to by WD Smartware Pro. I downloaded the newer release 2.4.16 which installed successfully but back up still not allowed. WD offers a 30 day free trial of SmartWare Pro which I used to get a back up and this seems to work. Any ideas on how to get the older WD Smartware to continue to work?

Have you tried setting a schedule backup? If not, please try that.
