Click Settings. Click General. Scroll down to Mac Backups. Click the little light blue “configure.”

Not on a My Cloud Home. Doesn’t have this setting.

I tried it, and it connected to smb but Time Machine back up still doesn’t work. I’ve literally spent around a whole day on this now.

Same here. I’ve tried literally every possible solution WD offers in their public knowledge base. Nothing helped.

You have to set your Time Machine Backup Size to 100% and it will work again.

This support article lists it in a bullet point in the “Important” section towards the top of the article.

This is very unfortunate. I don’t know why we can’t limit the backup size anymore. It used to work.
