I had issues where if I was copying files to MyCloud 3TB and web browsing the MyCloud would pretty much gag, choke and die and abort the X-fer. I bought a SWITCHING hub (not a cheapy Ethernet hub) and connected both the Cloud drive and my computer and PRESTO, it works like a champ and no issues. Don’t use a generic hub, use a Switching Hub and connect everything through that. I bought a switching hub for like $25 (US).

That points to your router being a bit rubbish…
A gigabit Ethernet switch is handy if your router is only 100Mbit; if you connect your MyCloud and PCs to the switch, traffic between computers and MyCloud runs at gigabit speeds, leaving the slower switch to router for internet access and WiFi access to MyCloud.
A switch also isolates the MyCloud from router, so it won’t reboot every time the router reboots.
