Something very odd is going on. Depending on which hard drive temperature checking program I use, my WD external will show wildly different temps. When using crystaldiskmark it says the drive is 53 C, Speccy says it is 30 C and a third program says it’s in the 40s.
What is going on? Does WD purposely not want programs to read the correct temp?
Edit: same exact thing happening with my 3tb wd passport as well.
