My Book Essential 3TB

Greetings,

I own a My Book Essential 3TB external hard drive (model: WDBACW0030HBK-EESN).

Today I was copying some files (roughly 1,5 tb in size) and the temperature reached 42°C.

I’m worried about 2 factors here:

  1. is this temperature normal? (the ambient temperature is 21°C).

  2. reallocated sectors count - 140. Is this ok? And, when should I start to worry about that one?

Thank for any info and help =)

Hi there,

That temperature should not alarm you, seems pretty safe, worry when it gets 70+C :stuck_out_tongue:
