Xbox one compatibility with WD 4TB My Passport for Mac Portable Hard Drive

I’m in need of a hard drive that’s compatible with my MacBook Pro for university work but also capable of connecting to an xbox one to store games on.

The PC version of this hard drive is recommended for use with xbox one however I wanted to know if the Mac version is compatible with xbox one software too?
Or vice versa if the PC version is compatible with Mac?

Can anyone offer any insight?

Once the hard drive is formatted for use with the Xbox One … you cannot use the hard drive on a PC or Mac. (same applies to PlayStation 4 Expanded Storage external hard drive)

A case of “one or the other” … you can’t have both, Unless you buy 2 hard drives … One for use with the Xbox and the other for use with a PC or Mac.
