Looking for external hard drive for mac & windows

Hi,

I’m interested in getting the WD 1TB Black My Passport Portable External Hard Drive for Mac, but I also want to use it for windows. My work computer is a PC, but my computer at home is Mac. Is there an external hard drive that can be used for both Mac and PC? Or do I have to buy separate hard drives?

Hi jelliegum ,

Well you do not have to purchase two drives, however you can go for WD My Passport and change the format of the drive in exFAT. As, the drive comes in NTFS format.
