Worth buying?

I have just received ELEMENTS PLAY for the Christmas, but I still have 1 week to turn it back.

Should I keep it?

I have read that there are multiple issues with it. judder effect…

Is the Thumbnail function available for the movies?

Thanks for your advice !!

Kind Regards,

the elements play is a very basic media player with a hard drive.  If it works for what you want, then great.  but if it doesn’t, then you should consider returning it.

I would like to see movies in HD but I ve read that there are a lot of people who got problems with playing mkv’s without sound or the video is out of synchro with audio…

So I ask myself of it s worth keeping it

Hi Maciej.

Turn in back  as soon as possible.

The firmware of the unit don´t work. It´s a beta with a lot of bugs. Most of the HD files that suppose to work, don´t work.

Bad aspect ratio, stop play, don´t rewind, problems with sound, subtitles  and so on.

I´m still waiting for more than a year for the new firmware but WD give up support BEFORE develop at least ONE SINGLE release firmware .

good look looking for a real MKV player.

Get a WDTV Live Hub…

Hey thanks for your honest advice. I alreay returned it back and took LACIE LA CINEMA HD in place. So far I’m satisfied. It plays mkv without any problems. Next coming days I’ll be testing it wit mpeg-videos and 1080p quality. Also the menu shows movies in thumbnails and the remote control is more sofisticated in comparison to wd elements play.

You did GOOD! NEVER buy a product that has no support at all!
