I have the same problem. Its freezing all the time when i play mp4 movies. I bought a mediaplayer but i can not watch a movie !! what a shame… i want to throw away it if they wont fix this problems with the new firmware… I updated my wd but problem doesnt solved.  In addition i can not play most of the mkv movies. when i click play screen goes black and wd just stuck… even remote doesnt work! so had to take adaptor out… It means my Wd’s 1TB harddsik getting crash…!! What an amazing product i have !!.. ridiculous

I think everyone should call this numbers for own country and tell those problems to get new firmware…

Interesting…

According to that, the MKV files doesn’t *HAVE* an audio track.   Did you post *ALL* of the info?

Also, in the future, please post the TEXT output.

I don’t know what or how you pasted, but the formatting is totally screwed up…

To get back to the original problem with the “unsmooth” video:

Try different HDMI-output settings. This can often fix the problem.

Next problem you then run into is that the player “forgets” the HDMI-setting every time you turn it off.

greetings

I have a solution to this problem, it works with me in 90% cases.

Solution:

If your tv is 1080P resolution, then go to WD menu and setting, video setting, resolution, it should be on AUTO by default, you should put it to the resolution same as your TV(in this case 1080P)!

I hope it helped!
