Western Digital WD Elements 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive not getting detected

hi,

 My Western Digital WD Elements 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive WDBAAU0010HBK-NESN is not getting detected on my laptop, i have tried with two computers also, one with windows 7 and another with Windows Vista. And it not shown on both.I had purchased it on 31st July.

I am attaching the images I see on my Windows 7 . I can see only one"Disk Drive" under Device Manager.

The Drive seems being constanly access and after soem time I got device driver error also.

I have tried Re-Installing driver etc, but still i get the above error after sometime. I even tried the 

Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows setup, but my Disk was not displayed on it.

Could anyone help me please.

Hi, have you tried using another USB cable? Also avoid using extension USB cables or USB hubs.

  I have tried different usb cables also still no detecion, even checked on ubuntu OS still not shown.
